Certifications and Courses help validate as well as enhance our technical capability in a specific vertical. A lot of these tools also need a fair amount of time to be invested in learning courses and doing certifications.

For most enterprises, using a RASP solution would mean running multiple agents on their production systems, potentially creating risk due to incompatibilities. On the Netflix Java/Linux/EC2 stack there were no working mixed-mode flame graphs, no production safe dynamic tracer, and no PMCs: All tools I used extensively for advanced performance analysis. I hope my last two books, [Systems Performance 2nd Ed] and [BPF Performance Tools] serve Netflix well in my absence and everyone else who reads them.

The problem is that this system has a default libc that has been compiled without frame pointers, so any stack walking stops at the libc layer, producing a partial stack that's missing the application frames. But I'd rather the cost be zero, of course! We may get there with future technologies I'll cover later.
