This is the key problem with every musical blockchain initiative I've ever seen. Proposals whose "blockchain" would need to add 1GB/hour, that sort of thing. AMD is now using the second-gen Infinity Fabric to connect a multi-chip design with a 14nm I/O die serving as the linchpin of the design.
