Today, I am happy to announce our plans to open a new AWS Region in Italy! The AWS Europe (Milan) Region is the 25th AWS Region that we've announced globally. It's the sixth AWS Region in Europe, joining existing regions in France, Germany, Ireland, the UK, and the new Region that we recently announced in Sweden.

Today, I'm happy to announce that the AWS GovCloud (US-East) Region, our 19th global infrastructure Region, is now available for use by customers in the US. With this launch, AWS now provides 57 Availability Zones, with another 12 zones and four Regions in Bahrain, Cape Town, Hong Kong SAR, and Stockholm expected to come online by 2020.

MRAM works in consumer applications, but it’s still unclear if it will ever meet the temperature requirements for automotive. Some say MRAM will never work in automotive. Mark LaPedus : MRAM, a next-generation memory type, is being touted as a replacement for embedded flash and cache applications. They never question this belief.

Other industries using Amazon EC2 for HPC-style workloads include pharmaceuticals, oil exploration, industrial and automotive design, media and entertainment, and more. When instances are placed in a cluster they have access to low latency, non-blocking 10 Gbps networking when communicating the other instances in the cluster.
