HDR was launched at Netflix in 2016 and the number of titles available in HDR has been growing ever since. In spite of reaching higher qualities than the fixed ladder, the HDR-DO ladder, on average, occupies only 58% of the storage space compared to fixed-bitrate ladder. Yes, we are committed to supporting the open-source community.

Apple Corporate is at fault, not Open Source engineers or the line managers who support them. In almost every area, Apple's low-quality implementation of features WebKit already supports requires workarounds not necessary for Firefox (Gecko) or Chrome/Edge/Brave/Samsung Internet (Blink). So is speedy resolution and agreement.
